After a competitive process involving over 100 young Referees nationally both attended the  launch at Warwick University on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July.

This starts a season long programme for Referees from all over the country who will embark on quality training, education and development provided directly by the FA centrally and regionally.

Charlie and Luke’s CORE Regional Leader for the North West will be Anthony Taylor, FIFA and Premier League Referee who was a part of the team of Referees who officiated at this year’s European Football Championships in France.

Charlie and Luke both started refereeing at 14 and have been refereeing for over 3 years, they are also involved locally in the Westmorland Academy which supports promising referees through support at matches locally.
