Hansen's Creative Catering Under 25 League - Week 4
Hansen's Creative Catering U25 Summer League Week 4
It was another eventful evening in this year’s Under 25 Summer League at Kirkbie Kendal School. In the opening fixture of the night last year’s winners Ibis faced undefeated Kendal United. Kendal United started the game brightly and nearly took the lead when Kelton Knowles long range effort brought an amazing save from David Seaton. Ibis grew into the game and forced some increased pressure on the Kendal goal. In the second half United scored two well worked goals with Kelton Knowles scoring a powerful header before Stan Bradley scored a volley to secure a 2-0 win for Kendal United.
In the next fixture, another unbeaten team - Kendal County took on Arnside. County who were sat top of the league after 2 wins and a draw started the game brightly and had a quick lead through a Josh Casson free kick. County had too much fire power going forward and were ruthless scoring 7 for the second week on the bounce. The win was completed by goals from Bailey Carlos, Harry Routledge, Sam Troughton, Ben McGregor, another for Casson as well as one for the league’s top scorer Brody Moffatt who has 5 goals in 4 games. Arnside's reply came from George Taylor.
The final fixture of the night was Meathop Vale v Endmoor. Both sides were searching for their first win of the season, however Meathop were coming into the game confident after a draw against Corinthians the week before. It was Meathop who took the lead in this one when Charlie Skyrme scored. It looked as though that would secure the 3 points for Vale, however Jack Ireland scored 5 minutes from the end to make it 1-1 and both teams shared a point.
Week 4 looks like it could have some great games. It is 1st v 2nd with Kendal County facing Kendal United. 3rd v 4th as Corinthians face Ibis and 5th v 7th as Arnside face Endmoor.
