The Charity’s objective is to relieve the mental and physical distress of persons who are victims of rape, sexual abuse and incest by the promotion of a service which offers support, information and counselling in the South Cumbria and North Lancashire area and to work towards the advancement of education about sexual crimes and the effect on the victims of such crimes in the area of benefit. To offer the service to persons and their families, friends and partners, who may also need support, counselling or education.

We offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies.
The Cruse Bereavement Care Freephone National Helpline is staffed by trained bereavement volunteers, who offer emotional support to anyone affected by bereavement.
Our volunteers are here to help you talk things through. They can also help you find your local Cruse service, or signpost you to other services and useful sources of information.
The helpline is open Monday-Friday 9.30-5pm (excluding bank holidays), with extended hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, when we’re open until 8pm.

Trained practitioners will listen to your experience to try and understand how you have been feeling. Together they will decide what sort of help might work best for you. They may simply guide you through self-help materials appropriate to your problems or introduce you to computerised therapy if that's what you'd prefer. This service is for people aged 18 and over.

SAFA offers a safe environment, help and support to individuals, families and friends affected by the impact self-harm has on their lives.
